Course: Course will be designed to favor cross bikes, at least in the promoters opinion. Course will not conform exactly to modern UCI/USAC standards in that some sections will be narrower than 3 meters. We may also use hurdles in singles or threes instead of pairs. Course is mostly firm dirt, with some sand. Lots of cottonwood trees. Since this is the day after night cross, we will save most of the technical stuff for another day and do a very fast open course, with less running than most of the Old Fashioned Series.

Entry fees: Adults $30, Espoirs, Collegiate, Full time students, Out of towners* $20, Juniors free even if they race adult categories. Day of event registration add $10.
If you get in touch with me well before hand, I might be able to find some guest housing. Registration closes 15 mins before each start.
*If you can prove that you drove more than 3 hours to race, you can race for $20.

Online Registration: We will use Google Forms for registration. It does not cost anything to preregister. You will need to pay at the race even if you are preregistered, but all your info will already be entered, and we will have some idea of how many riders to expect. You will also save $10. For the Old Fashioned Series you only need one form for the whole season, so you do only have to do a form at your first race. The TNCXs are under the same permit so if you did one of them you do not need a form. If you do not bring a form, you must fill one out first, and then get in line to pay and get your number. I have a card reader on my phone so you can pay with a card at the race.
If you are doing 2 races it will be an extra $5 per race.

RIDER LIST CLICK HERE

Online registration will close on 11-16-17 at 11:59PM MST.

Directions: In a car: Exit I-25 on Rio Bravo and go west about a mile to 2nd. Take 2nd south about 1.6 miles to to Sunnyslope St. then go west (right) to Barr then go south (left) 300ft and park where you can without blocking anyone's driveway.
On a bike: take the bosque bike path south past Rio Bravo until just before it curves east following the diversion channel. Start will be up on the levee about 400ft north of the diversion channel.

General Info:
These will be insured through the Recreational Alliance of Cycling Enthusiasts, (R.A.C.E., bikerides.org). USAC licenses, annual or one day, are not required. Because of this, riders can accrue points for the NMCX series but not category upgrade points for USAC.
Feeding may be done anywhere on the course where it is safe to do so, regardless of raceday temperature. Riders may ride on the course to practice during other races but must stay out completely of the way. If someone complains about you not staying out of the way, you will start 20ft behind your field start. Faster juniors do not have to do the 12PM start and are welcome to race with whatever group they want.
Approved helmets must be worn at all times when on a bicycle.
Scoring will be done like the TNCs so riders will be responsible checking in after their finish and making sure that they get scored. If you do not check in you will not be scored.

Weather: We will run these rain or shine, but promoter reserves the right to cancel or move the course in the event of severe inclement weather or other issues. Info will be posted on on this website and to the bike-racers list.
