More or less typical fine print:
These are practice events and not real “races”.  No prizes will be given.  Unofficial “results” will be posted, but they do not count towards any point series or upgrade.
All events will be sanctioned and insured through the Junior National Cycling Association (JNCA), but senior riders are welcome.  JNCA accepts USCF, ACA, OBRA, ABR, or CBR licenses.  Riders with no license may purchase season insurance pass for the entire series for only $10.  We will generally alternate road/MTB events.
Registration on site 45 minutes before each event.  Field limit 300 riders (heheh, in NM? 300 riders?)
One important part of this series is developing group riding/bike handling skills.  Road courses will generally be more scenic than normal for NM, and will often take place on the hilliest, curviest, narrowest and most technical roads that we can find.  A few will have unpaved sections.  Similarly MTB course will have a lot of narrow singletrack and some technical sections.  Criteriums, though, will be wider and on good pavement.
On the road we will attempt to provide traffic marshals for some events, and to insure that the events are as safe as a sport where people ride around in lycra at 35mph, balancing on two square inches of rubber, can be expected to be, however, we will not generally not have follow lead/vehicles or marshals at every single corner, so be heads up, be safe, put your brain ahead of your ego, and realize that this is not the world championships.  If you do not feel that you have the restraint to do this, we would prefer that you stay home.  JNCA racing rules will be in effect.
Generally to be held rain or shine, but if it is really bad call first.  For info contact: Hawke Morgan 2596885 or email <yourstruly@operamail.com>
