We build the forks for the bike as well. We got a few
parts from McMahon Racing. The dropout tabs faced back in order
to bring the stanchions more in line with the impacts they absorb.
If they had faced forward, with the angled stanchions they whoud
have had way too much rake. They worked very well. Alex won
one of the Sandia cross
country races on this bike. (Pic at right) The rear wheel had a
thin fiberglass
fairing. The rear brakes were Magura hydraulic rim brakes and
were mounted integrially to the bottom of the chainstays. We were
one of the first framebuilders using integrated headsets.
