We will do an informal (not USAC and not part of the Series) cyclocross on Tuesday 1-1-13 called the First Mud of the Year CX on the ditchroads in the South Valley.
General Series info:
This series is designed to fill in the gaps between and after the main New Mexico Cyclocross Series dates. The Old Fashioned Series will also be a little more "old fashioned" that is, generally narrower and more woodsy. We are going to try to set these up to have the best chance of snow, mud etc. as possible, mainly by holding the races at a little higher altitude. However, this means that we might end up with snow that is too deep for cyclocross, so some of the locations may get moved or switched as conditions merit, and it is doubly important to check the website before coming out in case something gets changed. The sponsors of this events help us pay costs for the series and keep it cheap/free for the riders. Please patronize them. Entry $20-25. -18 always free, and riders who drive more than 2.5 hrs to the race are only $5, Deadman will be free, though we will take donations.

There is no pre-registration for this event, but you need to RSVP by either joining the event on Facebook, or emailing me directly. Each race has a minimum number of riders (12-18), if we do not reach that number we will cancel the race. We are not setting up course for races that no one wants to do, and doing cross races beyong the normal series is historically risky. So if you like there being some races in addition to the normal series, vote by participation.
