Event
will probably be canceled due to the large numbers of new Covid
cases. In the event that numbers miraculously go down in the next
week, I will make a final call not later than 1/20/22 at noon. Sunday 1/23/22 1PM All cyclists start. We will race about an hour. If we have some younger juniors we may have them do a shorter race, but they will still start at 1PM. 2 15 PM kids race 2:30PM All runners start, all cyclists will be off the course for the runners. We will score all NMCX series categories. There will be USAC state championship medals for the top 3. Entry fees: Adults $35. U23 $25, Juniors $10 even if they race adult categories. Day of event registration add $10. Registration closes 15 mins before each start. Run only $20. under 24 $10, under 19 $0. Run and bike $45. Anyone who drives more than 2.5 hrs to the race can race for half price. Online Registration: We will use Google Forms for registration. It does not cost anything to preregister. You can pay at the race. I have a card reader on my phone so you can pay with a card at the race if that is better for you. You can also pay online at Our Square Site. If you are doing 2 races it will be an extra $5 per race. PREREGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT FRIDAY 1/21/22 After that, YOU CAN STILL RACE, BUT IT WILL COST YOU AN EXTRA $10. Online Registration List of Registered Riders Online Payment General Cyclocross Info: The sponsors of this event help us pay costs for the series and keep it cheapish for the riders. Please patronize them. Held under a USAC permit. USAC license is required, annual or one-day for all riders. USAC one-day licenses are $10. Promoting club Echelon. Approved helmets must be worn at all times when on a bicycle. We will run these rain or shine, but promoter reserves the right to cancel or move the course in the event of severe inclement weather or other issues. CHECK WEBSITE IN CASE OF CHANGES!!! General Run info: We will run this as a cross country race and score finishing positions and times for men and women overall. All runners will start together. Run will take place after the bike race so the runners will have the course to themselves. We are just trying this out this year. I think that a cyclocross course makes an ideal XC run course. I hope you have fun, and think so too. Course Info for Bikes: Course will not conform exactly to modern UCI/USAC standards in that some sections will be narrower than 3 meters. We may also use hurdles in singles or threes instead of pairs and hurdles may be less than 4M apart. Course is a mix of dirt roads, and dirt trails with a killer steep sandy uphill section. Course Info for Runners: Run course will do the bike loop 2-3 times. Distance is approximate as we will not know how long the bike course will be until we lay it out. I will try to get it close to 5-6K. There may be some logs or hurdles not over about 14n high. Course is a mix of dirt roads, and dirt trails with a killer steep sandy uphill section.
