If we have some younger juniors we may have them do a shorter race, but they will still start at 1PM. 2PM all cyclists finish and clear the course. 2:15PM All runners start. Prizes: Top riders/runners overall might win some chocolate or something. Online Registration: We will use Google Forms for registration. It does not cost anything to preregister. You can pay at the race. I have a card reader on my phone so you can pay with a card at the race if that is better. You can also pay on our online payment page below. PREREGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT FRIDAY 12/31/21 After that, YOU CAN STILL RACE, BUT IT WILL COST YOU AN EXTRA $10. Online Registration List of Registered Participants Online Payment Page General Cyclocorss Info: USAC licenses, annual or one day, are not required. Not a USAC race. Helmets are required. We will run under USAC cyclocross rules, except that you can feed anywhere, anytime, and the course will not meet exact USAC specs. General Run info: We will run this as a cross country race and score finishing positions and times for men and women overall. All runners will start together. Run will take place after the bike race so the runners will have the course to themselves. We are just trying this out this year. I think that a cyclocross course makes an ideal XC run course. I hope you agree and think the course is fun. Course info for Cyclocross: Really cool new venue. Features some ditchorad, some slow ungroomed grass, a concrete dam spillway, and a bit of woodsy trail. Two pretty good runups, one very steep. Photos at bottom of page. You can expect some zig zag sections on the grass with some sort of tight 180deg corners. Course is right about 2mi long. Course Info for Runners: Run course will do the bike loop twice. Distance is approximate as we will not know how long the bike course will be until we lay it out. I will try to get it close to 5-6K. The planned course is 4mi 6.4k. Course will be dirt road, dirt trails, and grass. There will be a little up and down where it goes on or off the ditch levees. One of the uphills is pretty steep. There may be some logs or hurdles not over about 14n high. You can expect some zig zag sections on the grass with some sort of tight 180deg corners. If you feel like a longer course or a shorter course (for kids) would be better, email me, and maybe we can have a group do an extra lap or just one. Directions: From Coors and Rio Bravo go south on Coors 1/2 mi to Las Estancias Dr. Go right into the dirt. There will be a few parking places outside the gate, but if they are full, go through the gate along the little dirt road to the south. Park left and leave an open lane on the right. Push your bike up the levee to your right and follow the course out onto the concrete spillway where the finish will be located. Exit out the south end of parking area. If parking fills up, you could park at Discount Tire across the Coors. They will be closed. Google placemark here. Weather: We will run these rain or shine, but promoter reserves the right to cancel or move the course in the event of severe inclement weather or other issues.
